Cassandra Rendon

Hello lovely human,

My name is Cassandra Rendon. I’m an artist and poet based in Mission Viejo, California.

With more than 30 years of experience in the fiber arts, specializing in crochet, knit, quilting, and embroidery, I create large-scale installation works and interactive experiences meant to nurture the part of each of us that still believes in magic, myth, and connection. My fiber work has been showcased at Craftcation in Ventura, California and H+H Americas in Chicago, Illinois.

I apply this same ethos to my writing work, exploring themes of the body, history, and femininity in my poetry and workshop classes. I obtained my degree in Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside, and use these skills to encourage workshop students to find and express their unique voices.
